What do I need to bring to my fingerprinting appointment?

You must bring two pieces of valid government issued ID, with at least one containing a photo.

Accepted IDs include:

- Drivers License

- Passport

- Canadian Citizenship Card

- Permanent Resident Card

- Birth Certification

- Indigenous Status Card

*We cannot accept photocopies or digital versions of your ID

Do you accept walk-ins or same-day bookings?

We offer same-day and next-day appointments, but walk-ins are not guaranteed. We recommend contacting us to book an appointment.

Are you RCMP accredited?

Yes. Crossborder Fingerprinting is RCMP-accredited, We are officially authorized to capture and electronically submit fingerprints for civil screening purposes.

Fingerprint submissions are securely transmitted to the RCMP’s Real Time Identification (RTID) system.

Our fingerprinting services are accepted for:

- Immigration and IRCC applications

- Employment and licensing

- Record suspensions (pardons)

- U.S. entry waivers

- International background checks

Can Crossborder Fingerprinting do a Vulnerable Sector (VS) check?

Only your local police service can initiate a VS check. If they determine that fingerprints are needed, they will provide you with a letter of instruction. We can then complete your fingerprinting and submit it to the RCMP.

*We cannot perform VS checks without the referral from the local police service.

What is the difference between digital and ink fingerprinting?

- Digital fingerprinting (Live Scan) is submitted electronically to the RCMP and is faster for most Canadian applications

- Ink fingerprinting is used for FBI background checks (C-216C/FD-258), international applications or when paper cards are required

What is the process for fingerprinting?

- Book an appointment here

- Bring two pieces of valid ID

- Our Fingerprint technician will capture your fingerprints according to the requirements

- We will submit your fingerprints directly to the RCMP

- You will receive confirmation that your submission is complete

Most RCMP digital fingerprints are processed within 72 hours, if your submission is flagged, it can take longer.

Where are you located? Is parking available?

851 Notre Dame Ave, Winnipeg, MB.

Free parking is available on the street in front of our office between the hours of 8:00am -15:30pm and after 17:30pm. We also have free parking between 15:30 pm-17:30 pm, we will advise you where to park when booking your appointment.
